Maccreanor Lavington produced designs for and urban block and tower to sit beside a new market square. The urban block sought to integrate a large number of larger family friendly units through it all with access to private outdoor amenity space suitable for children.

This masterplan aims to provide a clear strategy to guide new development in The Brook, an area of Chatham. The centre of Chatham is physically contained by the River Medway and surrounding hills.

For any new development to be successful, it has to have the backing of the users, in this instance the adjoining local communities, who have had a fractured recent history. Indeed, the site is contested ground between the parties.

Whitefield lies within a conservation area, considered unique by English Heritage in that its urban fabric remains largely intact.

Metrostation |
This metrostation is located 11m above ground in the Bijlmer, Amsterdam. Its location and situation demand a careful treatment of the building, in particular at ground level and its relationship to the street.

Theater with 200 seats, café and multi-functional studio |
Gaasbeek is a village of 120 inhabitants, situated in the middle of the romantic rolling surroundings named Pajottenland. This village and its landscape have great cultural and tourist value with key elements such as the castle of Gaasbeek, the castle of Groenenberg and the private concert venue Oude Melkerij.

The terrace has two different frontages. The more formal frontage is a four storey brick façade and the other is a quieter varied mews street. The mews frontage alternates between two storey studios overlooking the street and first floor timber decks with overhanging planting.

The site sits between a grass covered reservoir and a steep viaduct that runs down to a major road to the north of London. The project explores the typology of the Terrace house within the confines of a set of very challenging site constraints.

Museum Visitor’s centre |
The Arnhem open-air museum is a special event within the vast natural environment of the Veluwe, a private world where an architectural and cultural past is displayed. Old traditions and building styles manifest themselves as a collection of nostalgic objects in the midst of a romantic woodland setting. The new entrance building is seen as an architectural manipulation of this woodland scenery.
