Triple Success with Planning Awards Shortlists 2025
MacFarlane Place at Television Centre in White City, London has been shortlisted for Best Housing Scheme (under 500 homes), while Bow Goods Yard, the last piece of the Olympic jigsaw, has been shortlisted by two planning awards, Promoting Economic Growth and Placemaking. Public Land.
MacFarlane Place for Stanhope and Peabody houses 142 affordable homes and uses innovative external shutters throughout for natural and practical ventilation.Bow Goods Yard for Network Rail will host a new Network Rail Hub that brings together their offices and maintenance and delivery units, and will form a new front to the park, together with a sequence of public spaces and improved links to nearby neighbourhoods. As the last major site of the Olympic Legacy Bow Goods Yard will deliver a key component of the legacy plan, progressive employment opportunities, and will complement the leisure offer around the Olympic Park.
For 12 years, The Planning Awards have acknowledged the transformative power of planning and placemaking. The 2025 awards will continue this tradition, showcasing outstanding work in areas like conservation, urban design, infrastructure, partnerships, regeneration, housing, and law.
