A Royal Encounter: Robert in our Rotterdam studio meets the King of the Netherlands

10.05.2023

Proud of recognising inclusivity, we have been part of a Dutch government programme called “Simpel Switchen” (easy to switch) that aims to help people with mental disabilities find work.

One of these organisations is Pameijer, which our team member in Rotterdam, Robert is a part of. Robert has been part of our Rotterdam studio for seven years now and has proved to be a key team member, and his intellectual disabilities have not impeded his ability to contribute. His Pameijer job coach visits him every few weeks and makes sure that he is doing well working with us and has the support he needs.

Recently, he had the honor of meeting with King Willem-Alexander and Minister for Poverty Policy, Participation, and Pension, Carola Schouten.

The meeting took place at the Pameijer HQ, where a round table discussion was also held to further explore the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in the workplace.

The King and Minister Schouten wanted to discuss his experience as a working professional with the practice. Robert shared his valuable insights and experiences during the discussion – a positive step forwards in shedding light on the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in the workplace.
