Ibstock Place School wins at Structural Timber Awards 2021

Our intricate timber refectory for Ibstock Place School has been awarded two Structural Timber Awards, Project of the Year and Sold Wood Project.
The new building uses modern materials such as glulam and CLT to re-imagine a traditional ‘grand hall’ alongside more familiar materials of oak lining and bronze handrails.
It is carefully crafted to embrace and enhance its beautiful, landscaped setting. A brick cloister offers a calm, collegiate quality to the building’s approach. Inside, an intricate lattice timber structure rises to three glazed lanterns lending a befitting grandeur to the refectory – the communal heart of the school.
