Lesnes Estate regeneration supported by local community

Residents have voted in favour of plans to redevelop Lesnes Estate to create new high-quality and energy-efficient homes.
A residents’ ballot was held from Friday 21 February to Monday 16 March 2020 asking residents living on Lesnes Estate whether they support the planned regeneration. With 65.4% of residents taking part in the ballot and 70.2% voting ‘yes’, the local community is supportive of the redevelopment of Lesnes Estate.
Peabody appointed Civica Election Services (CES) as an independent body to manage the ballot in line with the Mayor of London’s policy and guidelines to give residents the opportunity to vote on the future of their neighbourhoods.
