Colin Wharry
Colin studied Architecture at Queen’s, Belfast and graduated with distinction in Professional Diploma from London Metropolitan University in 2009. He was awarded the RSUA Bronze Medal and nominated for both RIBA Bronze and Silver President’s Medals.
Since joining Maccreanor Lavington in 2005, Colin has worked in both Rotterdam and London gaining extensive experience in the design and delivery of residential projects at a variety of scales. He has led several largescale housing projects in London, dealing with complex urban sites, strategic regeneration, and sensitive historic contexts. Colin was Project Architect for Blackfriars Circus and the first phase of Royal Albert Wharf, which received an RIBA National Award in 2018.
Colin has considerable Urban Design experience and has worked for an extended period with Design for London on a strategic framework for the Royal Docks in East London.
Colin has taught Professional Diploma in Architecture (RIBA II) at London Metropolitan/The Cass since 2010 and has also tutored at Oxford Brookes and The London School of Architecture.
