Kevin Logan

Kevin is an urbanist and urban designer. As director of Maccreanor Lavington Urban Studio, he is responsible for leading many of the office’s award winning large-scale urban and regeneration projects. He has extensive experience in the production of urban strategies, policy, large-scale masterplans, urban regeneration and mixed-use projects. His work is defined by a multifaceted approach to solution development, which considers the dynamic interaction and fluidity of urban conditions in cultural, social, political, and economic contexts.

As the lead in large urban projects Kevin understands the importance of stakeholder and community buy in. He is highly skilled at consensus building and strategic thinking, which combined with his rigorous process of information gathering and analysis, underpins his creative and robust approach to urban design.

Kevin is actively engaged in teaching and research, and is associated with a number of schools of architecture. He is an active speaker at conferences and has led workshops and charrettes covering project topics of all scales. Current research activities focus on the creation of liveable cities in socio and economic terms, and urban resilience tools in light of resource pressures and climate change, with a focus on urban food, water and energy.

Kevin works in both London and Rotterdam and takes an active role in the direction of the practice. He chairs the Environmental Task Group which strives to inform best practice, and implement this in all the office’s projects, working methods and processes.
