Arnos Grove

A carefully composed neighbourhood set adjacent to the elegant Grade II * Listed Charles Holden designed, Arnos Grove station.

Respecting an Iconic Landmark

Our primary concern is to respect the listed station and to ensure that new buildings do not encroach on the silhouette of the drum as seen against the sky, or with the backdrop trees from key locations. To achieve this, Buildings are kept lowest towards the southern end of the Site and when seen as a backdrop to the station from Bowes Road. A stepped plan creates an articulated massing breaking down the scale of new buildings and maximises dual aspect units.

The material selection and architectural language takes its cues from residential buildings that are contemporaneous with the station, but is legible as contemporary in its construction techniques and expression.

New Homes set within a Rich Landscape and a New Public Square

The 162 new rental homes are for Connected Living London, the long-term partnership between Grainger plc and Transport for London, established in July 2019 with an ambition of creating London’s leading mixed tenure rental communities.

Extensive landscaping and public realm for the station provides communal and private gardens with a public square and small café helping to enhance the local area.
